In 2016, I fired my employee from the organization because of his not showing his interest in his work. Because of him, we were losing too much. We had a meeting with the associate and explained that we are letting him go and we wished him well for the future. We were given several warnings and tried to work with him, but his behavior was not good for the organization. The main reasons we were terminating him from a job where he was taking so many leave, not coming on time, using a company mobile phone for his personal use, disrupting other employees from their work.
After the meeting, we explain to him why we were terminating him from the organization. He was very upset at that time and we understand that. At that time he was requesting me to give one more chance to work properly in the organization. After requesting me I have given one more chance to him to work properly in the organization for 15 days. I don’t want to give one more chance, but he was new in his career so I want to give him motivation as a mentor.
The next day he starts working as a good employee. He comes on time without taking leave and completing his target,on time, he has great at networking with clients. But slowly-slowly he comes again, his old nature. Now he is taking too many leave by making fake excuses and being also late always. That was his last time, which I give him. Now management has decided to terminate him from the organization. We inform him that-“You are not suitable for our organization so it better to find a new job”. That was a Friday and he remained in the office the next full week.
On the next day “Monday” I was surprised to see him in the office. He was working on his laptop and calling the clients for the meeting. He greeted me “Good Morning, Sir” and he continues his work. This type of nature, of him, makes my temper lose- “I cut off his electronic access key, Discontinued his reserve parking pass. Removed the assistant from his reach, take a laptop and mobile phone from him and everything else. Yet each morning he was there. I was not giving him a salary also but still, he was there. I also communicated to other employees not to share any company information with him. Eventually, our managing partner called him out and met with him and talked to him. I don’t know what was said, but the managing partner came back and told me that he will never come back in the office. The managing partner was true to his word and he has never come back into the office again.
